"I’ve always had a great experience with Richie and Joe at State Farm in Bedford Hills, and I consistently left 5-star reviews because they truly went above and beyond to take care of their customers. Unfortunately, my most recent experience fell short of what I had come to expect. As my rates continued to increase, I called—just as I had done in the past—to discuss more competitive options. I was unpleasantly surprised to learn that Richie was no longer with the company, and my call was transferred to Brooke. Sadly, Brooke made no real effort to retain me as a customer, even after I mentioned that I was actively considering switching to a competitor. Instead of trying to find a meaningful solution, she simply suggested reducing coverage benefits in order to lower the premium. That approach didn’t address my concerns. When I asked to speak with someone else who might better understand customer loyalty, I was transferred to Kordel, who was just as unhelpful. Over the past six months, our rates increased by nearly 15%, and I was informed they would rise again by another 10% in the upcoming cycle. After those hikes, our premiums became unreasonably high. After 2½ years with State Farm and following this disappointing experience, I made the difficult decision to switch to a competitor. With the new provider, I’m saving nearly $700 in the first six months alone. The coverage is significantly better—my deductible is now $500 instead of $1,000. I would have preferred to stay with State Farm. It’s inconvenient to switch providers, but due to the lack of flexibility and customer support, I had no choice but to do what was best for our financial needs."
